I made it, let the trip begin!

Kai Ora Everyone!

I arrived in Auckland, New Zealand on Thursday the 20th of March after about a 13-hour flight from L.A. I met up with my dad (Steve) and his wife (BJ) who had just spent the last few months touring NZ for their honeymoon. After arriving in Auckland airport we stayed our first night at the Arondale Holiday campground while I waited for my bags to arrive, which had stayed behind in L.A. because of a close connection between flights.

After picking up one of my bags at the airport my second day in NZ, we rented a van and headed up to the Northland to spend the Easter weekend at the Bay of Islands in the city of Russell. The Northland is a popular area to travel to in the summer months (December-March) and many of the locals (kiwis) were up to spend the four day holiday weekend.
